Petronella Andersson is a talented Swedish showjumper whose passion for horses began at the age of three, inspired by her mother’s love for riding. Her competitive spirit was evident early on when, at just ten years old, she competed in her first national championship in Sweden. Petronella quickly rose through the ranks, representing Sweden at the European Pony Championships, where she won a team bronze and an individual silver medal.
In 2013, Petronella joined Stephex Stables to further develop her skills and compete at the highest level. Her hard work and dedication have since led to consistent success on the international stage. Notable highlights include victories in CSI4* competitions, such as her win at the Winter Equestrian Festival in 2023 with Odina van Klapscheut. Petronella has also proven herself in the CSI5* circuit, securing podium finishes in prestigious events, including a third-place result in the CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix in Rome.
Recognized for her consistency and drive, Petronella was honored as the Best Rider at Jumping Mechelen in December 2023. Known for her precise riding style and ability to bring out the best in her horses, Petronella is also passionate about developing young talents, ensuring her success extends to future generations.
