Scuderia 1918 Halifax van het Kluizebos and Oak Grove’s Heartthob spent the past five weeks in sunny Spain. They were part of the 30 horses that Kendra Claricia Brinkop and Michael Hughes took along to the famous Sunshine Tour Montenmedio.
Both horses achieved a lot of success. Kendra competed in the Young Horse classes together with Oak Grove’s Heartthrob. It is no doubt that this horse will reach some great heights. Regardless of his young age, he is showing great power in the ring. When discussing the achievements of this young stallion, Kendra emphasizes on the consistency in his performance:
“Out of the 12 rounds we completed, 11 of them were clear. This for sure shows his quality and his character, and the great deal of talent which he possesses”.
Michael Hughes and Scuderia 1918 Halifax van het Kluizebos are still in the process of getting to know one another. This duo has been working together ever since October 2021, and they have a bright future ahead of them.
Sunshine Tour was their first big show together, and there they successfully prepared for the upcoming season.
“Halifax was very good for our first show together. He is a bit older, and he knows his job. It was more of me getting to know him. I am hoping that we can start jumping bigger classes together. All in all I am very happy with him!”.
The excellent performances of these two stallions at Sunshine Tour shows their love for what they do. Bring on the 2022 season!
