Sunshine Tour 2025 Recap: A Strong Start for Kendra Claricia Brinkop & Daniel Deusser

At the beginning of January, Kendra set off with her horses to the warm Spanish sun for the Andalucía Sunshine Tour, one of the most prestigious European circuits for developing both young and experienced horses. In February, Daniel joined her to compete at this high-level event.

Kendra shares her thoughts on the experience:
“We’ve been coming here for many years. The Andalucía Sunshine Tour is the perfect place to develop both young and older horses. The facilities are fantastic, with both sand and grass arenas, which allow for variety and adaptability. The young horse finals in week 3 and week 6 are particularly exciting, as they showcase some of the best up-and-coming talent. Last year, I won the Nations Cup in Rome and La Baule with horses that I prepared at the Sunshine Tour. This year, my goal was to match that level, preparing my horses and hopefully working towards another Nations Cup opportunity.”

New Horses & New Challenges
Kendra took a group of newer horses to the tour, making the event an ideal opportunity to get to know them better. Among them were some incredible 7-year-olds, who showed great promise. Here are the horses she brought to Spain:
