This past weekend in San Miguel de Allende, Team Stephex delivered a string of outstanding performances. With Daniel Deusser, Zoé Conter, and Emilie Conter competing across several CSI5* events, it was a weekend filled with exciting victories, podium finishes, and celebrations. Let’s take a look back at some of the highlights.
It was an especially successful week for Daniel Deusser, who dominated the competition from start to finish. His winning streak began in the CSI5 1.50m* where, riding Otello De Guldenboom (Tobago Z x Caretino), Daniel secured a well-deserved 3rd place. The competition was fierce, but Daniel’s precision and skill kept him on the podium. Emilie Conter, also competing in the same class, showed remarkable determination, rounding out the top 10 with Ocean Quality (Baltic VDL x Calato).
The success continued on Saturday, where Daniel claimed victory in the CSI5 1.45m* with Bingo Ste Hermelle. The duo executed a flawless round, and the win was made even more special by Zoé Conter’s impressive 3rd place finish with Tombola Z (Toulon x Dominard), completing a Stephex podium.
Then came the crowning moment of the weekend: Daniel Deusser’s triumph in the CSI5 1.60m Grand Prix*. Riding Gangster v/h Noddevelt (Eldorado Van De Zeshoek TN x Alme), Daniel delivered a stunning round to secure his first-ever 5 Grand Prix victory with Gangster. The champagne was flowing as Daniel celebrated his double win and added another major accomplishment to his already impressive record. Carlos Hank Guerreiro, riding the Stephex reference horse H5 Origi Horta, took a strong 4th place in the Grand Prix, making it a fantastic result for Stephex horses across the board.
Emilie Conter had a solid weekend as well, consistently performing among the top riders. In addition to her 10th place finish in the 1.50m, she was a key contributor to Team Stephex’s success.
Zoé Conter had a particularly busy schedule and demonstrated excellent form throughout the week. Along with her 3rd place in the CSI5 1.45m* with Tombola Z, she secured several top placings with Loui LN. The pair finished 7th in the 1.40m and 8th in another 1.45m competition, before delivering an impressive 2nd place in a final 1.45m class.
Beyond the Stephex riders, our reference horses also enjoyed success under other riders. Carlos Hank Guerreiro rode H5 Origi Horta to a 5th place finish in the 1.40m, and later, they delivered a fantastic 4th place in the prestigious CSI51.60m Grand Prix.
Meanwhile, Lorenza Mena Rodriguez and Cullinan Z delivered excellent rounds, finishing 11th in the 1.35m and achieving an impressive 2nd place in the 1.40m class.
