The Stephex Exclusive Embryo Auction of 2020 was yet another great success for our team this year.
The bidding started on the 8th and closed on the 10th of December. The interest for the embryos was significant from the beginning of the first day. The participants placed their bids from all over the world and our embryos were sold to almost ten different countries from Mexico & the USA to France & Sweden. This highlights how relevant our breeding programme is world-wide.
15 embryos with outstanding pedigrees and a predictably bright futures were offered from the breeding of the Stephex Stables.
The embryo sold for the highest price was the embryo of the famous Chacco-Blue out of Erenice Horta, the mare who has jumped several world cups and is also well known as the mother of the highly talented Irenice Horta.
A close second was an additional embryo from Chacco-Blue out of another first-class mare Espyrante.
The third embryo of the popular stallion Chacco-Blue landed on the third place, sold to France. This embryo is out of the mare Equita van ‘t Zorgvliet, the winner of multiple 5* shows, including the GP of Knokke Hippique and the World Cup in Lyon in 2016 with Daniel Deusser.
Two embryos were sold to Mexico and the French breeding fans secured themselves Chacco blue x Equita van‘t Zorgvliet, Larino x Elchinni van de Flandria, Mylord Carthago x Korvette Z, while Catoki x Valentine de l‘Imperable went to Denmark.
