Stephex rider Petronella claimed the win in the CSI5*-W 1.60m class Equita Masters at Equita Lyon, riding Odina van Klapscheut to the only double-clear round of the competition.
The pair delivered two efficient and controlled performances to secure the top spot ahead of France’s Julien Epaillard and Belgium’s Gregory Wathelet. Petronella has developed a strong partnership with Odina over the years, having ridden the mare since she was seven.
Speaking to World of Showjumping after the class, Petronella highlighted Odina’s qualities and the course built by Gregory Bodo, describing the mare as “very careful and fast” and praising the course design.
This result reflects the ongoing development of talented horses and riders within the Stephex program and contributes positive momentum heading into the season’s upcoming challenges.
